People Like Us: "Resonant" Launch Party

The People Like Us crew and their growing following return to the newly refurbished underground den at The Chippo for the second instalment of their new franchise, building on their impressive debut in May. 

Anchored by residents Doug Loch and Funky Carl and their equal emphasis on melody and groove mantra, the night is the launch party for Doug Loch's first release, "Resonant", an atmospheric number featuring lush analogue synths and rolling arps. The original mix builds from a deep and moody introduction into a driving and up for it progressive house vibe, brimming with musicality and rhythm, and the release also includes a club mix and an ambient mix.  

Featuring live vocal performances by divas Sheba Williams and Sarah Linton, Funky Carl will warm the room up with his trademark chunky house and disco edits, with the music progressing into deeper and more atmospheric territory as he hands over to Doug Loch, maintaining an uplifting, melodic and groovy backbone throughout.
