Revolt Entertainment Presents: Butterknife

Hailing from Newcastle/Awabakal, the alternative-pop fem four piece band Butterknife has cultivated almost 2 million streams from their debut single, "Misty", alone. Butterknife is known to capture the essence of dreamy indie rock infused with the edge of dark/grungy alt-pop, although that's just the base line of their ever-expanding soundscape.

Their debut EP, titled "Lilith", sees Butterknife venturing into rotten themes and darker instrumentals. From the gloomy synth-pop of "Devilman" all the way to the rage-filled vocals of "GOD COMPLEX", Butterknife are enlivened by the thought of showing a different, more intense side of themselves.

Butterknife’s achievements in the music scene speak volumes about their talent and dedication. Butterknife has supported a handful of well-known acts in their time, such as Ra Ra Viper, Dune Rats, Teenage Dads, and Slowly Slowly, across their regional tour. Butterknife was also hand-picked to play as a local support band at Groovin’ the Moo, and has played at Rolling Sets 2023 and The Gumball Festival 2024. As well as being crowned the NSW winners for The Terrys Battle of the Bands competition 2023.

Revolt Entertainment is bringing together big names, local artists, and new talented acts from underrepresented backgrounds across Sydney. It’s going to be a lineup that celebrates music all around!
