THE WITCHING HOUR are back at THE HAMO Newcastle for a Hellraiser! on Saturday 7th September 2024.

Come on down to The Hamo for a night of Metal, Grunge and Rock!

Treading the fine line between rock and metal with metaphoric steel capped-boots and big riffs, The Witching Hour summon and transcend a modern gothic rock sound like no other. In the words of Dave Ruby Howe (Triple J),“This turns my bones to dust and my blood to sludge”.
Forming back in 2018, The Witching Hour, spent much of their early years playing venues across Newcastle and they’re stoked to be back! They’re celebrating the success of their single “Sleep With The Stars”, with the track organically amassing over 1.3 Million Streams through Spotify’s own playlist placement. The single has also received radio play in Australia, UK, and the US. In addition, the track was selected by Alice Cooper to be featured on his program “Nights With Alice Cooper” on Triple M Radio Station.
The Witching Hour’s most recent single ‘Gen Z’ continues to gain momentum. Upon the release of Gen Z, UK Print Music Magazine ERB reached out and featured The Witching Hour in a double-page editorial.
With strong global attention on all platforms and several Triple J Unearthed chart toppers, The Witching Hour are currently in the studio and are looking forward to releasing new music in the coming months.

Joining The Witching Hour are Newy locals:  MIDWAY // PIT // PULSE

MIDWAY
Are a 3 piece psychedelic surf rock band from Newcastle. The trio have been taking their sound up and down the east coast of NSW since 2018. In 2023 they released 2 singles and their debut EP ‘Happy As Larry’. They are now creating their own blend of Surf Rock, Psychedelia and Punk!

PIT
Are a Hard Rock / Grunge Trio from Newcastle. Their influences have been drawn heavily from the period of the 90’s, finding inspiration from many infamous bands from the Grunge era!

PULSE
Some describe Pulse as bombastic, full of force and plenty of sludge from Newy. Some may also describe Pulse as the energy of our youth, compressed in 3 piece grunge. Pulse is heavily influenced by Silverchair, Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins!
