The Music of Dr Who Ft. The Western Brothers

PLS NOTE: DOORS OPEN AT 7PM FOR A 7.30PM SHOWTIME

(SHOW DURATION IS 7.30PM-9.30PM)

"The Western siblings bring you a night of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey fun as they take you on a journey through the music of the world's longest running sci-fi show!

Doctor Who is long a favourite of Australian audiences, thanks in no small part to the music, from Delia Derbyshire's visionary electronic rendering of the iconic theme to the lush orchestrations of Murray Gold. Longtime fans of the show, the Western siblings present new arrangements of many of the iconic themes adapted for a jazz setting. Grab your tickets now to hear a top-notch group of musicians dance with the Daleks, swing with the Cybermen and have an out-of-this-world time!

Tristan Western is an up and coming local jazz arranger and performer. A previous finalist in the Monash Jazz Prize and Allan Zavod Performer's Award, Tristan has had the pleasure of working with the likes of Antonio Sanchez, Paul Grabowsky AO, Toshi Clinch and Deborah Cheetham-Fraillon AO.

Aaron Western is a promising young musician, composer and arranger studying Interactive Composition at the Victorian College of the Arts, and frequently performing with Toshi Clinch's Not-So-Big-Band alongside such talents as Gianni Marrinucci, Mirko Guerrini, Amelia Evans and Ben McGill."
