Lively in Melbourne
Event Description
Matinee: Day One
Day One** is quite a special project based in Melbourne, formed by members from different generations which brings a unique blend of sound - from jangly indie to distortion-filled hard rock. Imagine a TV show that appeals to all audiences - Day One is that, but in the music world.
Supporting Day One are three incredible bands, each bringing their own flavour to the mix, from intriguing indie sonic landscapes to nostalgic retro vibes:
Tetsuians: An indie rock band hailing from Melbourne, recently back from their Japan tour. Their self-titled album and album "Repair and Alterations" have twice been voted in the top ten albums by 4ZZZ and have received multiple plays on US college radio.
Snug: A noise/rock/pop band making a splash in the Melbourne music scene. Their electrifying sound is not to be missed.
The Bluebirds, accompanied by The Standing Room, will kick things off with a mix of originals and nostalgic covers, setting the right tone for the day.
Set times:
• The Bluebirds – 1:15 PM
• Snug – 2:15 PM
• Tetsuians – 3:15 PM
• Day One – 4:15 PM
