The Rowan Pattison Trio is joined by South Australian Singer, Natasha Weatherill to perform a night of nostalgic Jazz standards, from the greats such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and more.
Natasha Weatherill is a widely loved jazz vocalist in Melbourne. Originally from South Australia, her performances have graced stages across Australia, including opening for Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band, establishing her as a respected figure in the Melbourne jazz scene.
Rowan Pattison is a guitarist based in Melbourne. As a session musician he regularly tours both Australia and internationally, collaborating with an impressive roster of artists and productions and occasionally on Melbourne's east end theatre shows. In 2022, Rowan was offered the Master's Scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Although he did not pursue these studies, it led to a year-long stint overseas, where he performed regularly in clubs around Tokyo and throughout the UK. Rowan currently works with many notable jazz and pop artists in Australia, including Darryn Farrugia, Shannen James, The Jazzlab Orchestra, Jaron Jay, Richard Pavlidis, and recently working on the 2024 ABC Jazz Commission with Ellie Lamb.
The night will be full of classic swing, ballads and maybe even some Randy Newman, featuring some of Melbourne's top tear musicians.
