Following a string of sold-out performances that had audiences on their feet and in
tears, Sunshine Coast artist TOBiAS returns to the stage with his critically acclaimed
show: TOBiAS Celebrates The Cure. But this isn’t your typical covers gig, it's a deeply
emotional, atmospheric, and electrifying homage to one of the most iconic bands of our
time.
With his signature blend of cinematic soundscapes and raw, evocative vocals, TOBiAS
leads a powerhouse ensemble of the Sunshine Coast’s finest musicians on a reimagined
journey through four decades of The Cure’s legendary catalogue. From the moody
elegance of Lullaby to the euphoric punch of Friday I’m in Love, every note is delivered
with passion, reverence, and artistic flair.
This show is a sensory escape, a space where long-time fans and curious newcomers
alike can get lost in immersive textures, haunting melodies, and the music that shaped a
generation. Whether you danced to these songs in the ‘80s or discovered them just
yesterday, TOBiAS Celebrates The Cure promises a night of nostalgia, catharsis, and
sonic beauty.
“This isn’t just a covers gig,” says TOBiAS. “It’s a celebration of the emotional connection
people have with this music. I’ve poured my heart into every detail, from the arrangements
to the atmosphere, because The Cure’s music deserves that level of respect.”
And audiences agree:
"Absolutely breathtaking."
"Transported back in time."
"Better than I ever imagined."
This is more than a tribute, it’s a shared experience. A celebration of love, loss, longing
and the timeless music that continues to connect us all.
