Jane Street
Lively in Brisbane
Event Description
Jane Street With Alibi, Clay Pigeons & Harley
JANE STREET
Being formed in the heart of 2020, indie five piece, Jane Street, have been captivating local audiences with their unique sound. Describing themselves as a mixture of bad decisions and red wine and influenced by acts such as IDLES, Gang of Youths, and Wunderhorse, their musical style is hard to pinpoint. One minute they're playing an energetic, psych infused rock track about sending it too hard, the next they're doing a stripped back ballad about the bittersweet end of a relationship. Their only constants are the lyrically driven, emotional stories they craft, and their searing guitar tones.
ALIBI
ALIBI blends an explosion of high-energy and electrifying music with honest & impassioned lyricism (with a cheeky edge). ALIBI is for enjoyers of WAAX, Paramore, Inhaler & Wolf Alice. Formed by the dynamic front-woman Alex Haynes & completed by the talents of Tyler Castles, Tannum Portelli, Leigh Thomas & Henry Schultz, ALIBI is a sonic experience, ready to burn their name into Brisbane's music scene.
CLAY PIGEONS
A stranger at a house party is telling you a convoluted and over personal story. Your uber arrived 3 minutes ago and you have work in the morning, but for some reason you can't pull yourself away.
HARLEY
Formed in 2020, HARLEY MESZAROS (vocals & guitar), MAX BADER (keys & vocals), and BEN MCKINLAY (guitar) met at JMC Academy, blending indie-rock, blues, and alternative sounds. Their debut singles, "DEPTHS," "THOSE EYES," and "WHAT DO I KNOW," released in 2021-2022, earned strong fan reception and sold-out shows in Brisbane. In 2023, bassist TOM MITCHELL and drummer AARON DAVIS joined, revitalizing the band's sound with more blues and hard-rock influences. Inspired by acts like Sam Fender and Kaleo, HARLEY MESZAROS is set for a big 2024, with new releases and larger shows ahead.
