Off the back of his 2024 Europe and UK tour, Australian beat-master Alexander Flood makes his return to Naarm / Melbourne to release his new vinyl LP “ARTIFACTUAL RHYTHM” at The Night Cat.

Featuring some of Naarm’s best improvisers Erica Tucceri, Jake Amy, and Dylan Paul, the band will be premiering new music steeped in classic dancefloor rhythms with tight masterful drums, deep basslines, lush keyboard harmonies, and soaring jazz flute melodies. The new album presents a re-interpretation of club and DJ music through the lens of a live band with a jazzy edge, drawing on sounds of deephouse, UK Garage, drum n’ bass and broken beat.

Setting the scene for the night will be Tentendo (Live) and MzRizk (DJ).
