Songbird Eva Cassidy touched the hearts and lives of so many but ironically her fame rose upon her death.

An artist that could not be pigeon holed into one genre, Miss Cassidy took it upon herself to interpret an array of songs from different genres in the form of jazz, soul, blues, pop, folk and gospel. Songs that she related to, songs that she believed in and songs that she made her own.

Nardia Brancatisano who is the lead singer of the show has described Eva Cassidy to be one of her greatest music inspirations and has gravitated towards the purity and emotion in her vocals. She describes that Eva’s vocal craft displays great control, phrasing, and range and is something she delicately portrays in the show to honor this artist. This is not a tribute show as such, but a show to remember Eva Cassidy, her unique arrangements of songs and to let her story live on. She truly was a songbird...

Nardia Brancatisano is Singer-Songwriter who has powerful, raw & sultry vocals seasoned in the genres of Blues, Soul & Jazz. With a harmonic ear for music, Nardia wields her vocal range with intensity & musical prowess often blowing the roof off with her breathtaking voice.

Nardia has performed in front of tens of thousands of people within her hometown of Australia and overseas. She has had the pleasure of supporting some of the world's most powerful icons of today including Pink, Beyonce, and Adele and have also supported some legendary Australian artists including Russell Morris and Tex Perkins.

As a singer-songwriter Nardia currently fronts her own band and also the electrifying soul, blues, and funk band Rambal and currently frequents many venues in her home town of Melbourne and has performed at a range of festivals including Queenscliff Music Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, Mullumbimby Music Festival, Wangaratta Jazz and Blues Festival, Blues on Broadbeach Festival, Darebin Music Festival and many more.

The songbook of Eva Cassidy consists of a 6 piece band with vocals, guitar, cello, drums, bass and saxophone.

Steve Rando, the Music Director of the shows acoustic guitar playing, is always subtly sophisticated and acts as the perfect accompaniment. Steve is a versatile player, equally proficient on electric and acoustic guitar and plays a range of styles with authority and authenticity. Steve has played in countless cover bands, tribute bands (eg Australian Madonna, Blues Brothers, Pink tribute bands), theatre productions (eg: Rent, Next to Normal) and Television appearances (eg: Rove, Mr and MrsMurder). Steve also toured and recorded with Xavier Rudd.

Stephen is a graduate from the Victoria College of the Arts and teachers and coordinates the music programs at Victoria University.
