Spotlight Series Newcastle 2025 Ft/ Amy Vee, Neav & Chloe Gill
Spotlight Series Newcastle 2025
Spotlight Series is a series of intimate shows designed for audience members to get to know artists on a deeper level, hearing the stories behind each of the songs that they perform. Three artists are showcased at each event and, at the conclusion of the performances, the audience is invited to participate in an open Q&A with our contributing artists, covering a range of music and mental health topics. Hosted by Bonnie Anne (Newcastle Live).
For our 2025 Newcastle show we are delighted to welcome three incredible artists to the stage, for your listening pleasure. You will hear sets from:
Amy Vee - Amy writes music that both disquiets and mollifies the soul. Her songs are driven by a poetic lyricism that resonates as deeply with those seeking comfort and connection as it does with those seeking escape. A skilled multi-instrumentalist and award-winning composer and performer, Vee’s latest works sit somewhere between indie folk and ambient dream pop. Amy is the Chair of the Board for Listen Up Music and an impassioned advocate for positive mental health.
NEAV - NEAV is the alter-ego of singer/songwriter Niamh Watson. She is a prolific songwriter and, like Chloe, a former winner of The Songwriting Prize. She is a recipient of Create Australia’s 2024 ‘Export Development Fund’ for ‘Professional and Artistic Development’. With this support, she undertook a six-week European songwriting and networking trip, connecting and collaborating with industry professionals in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm and Edinburgh. We can't wait to hear what she has in store for us.
Chloe Gill - Chloe had a huge year in 2023, taking out the overall winner crown of The Songwriting Prize; Australia's largest live music songwriting competition, as well as other prestigious songwriting accolades. She is a folk rock artist from Newcastle and has a bona fide sound that is refined by her comfortingly nostalgic voice. We're delighted to welcome her back to our stage, to hear more of her beautiful music.
