**Abandoned Work of Art** is the opening track of **Myrtlesque**’s long gestating rock opera, a deathbed fairytale… ‘A Dreamer’s Eyes’, currently in the making with four new songs in progress with @sean\_ballenden at @triple\_three\_records Maitland.

The Abandoned Work of Art Tour will showcase the songs, the stories and the inspiration from Myrtlesque, the evocative musical project of Matt Petherbridge, a Maitland NSW based singer-songwriter and storyteller.

“Abandoned… is a rare song. It captures my inner psychology of my own career, and what’s possible next and it taps into the story of Myrtlesque and the rock opera ‘A Dreamer’s Eyes’. Blending intricate lyricism with rich, atmospheric songs rooted in themes of parenthood, memory, and the passage of time, Myrtlesque crafts songs at the crossroads of folk and alternative music that feel both deeply personal and universally resonant.
