In her 40 years in The Biz, Meredith O’Reilly has been in more than her fair share of big shows that suddenly stopped, flopped or never got off the ground...involving national tours, major stars & dodgy characters! Happily she was in many smash hits, too: Les Mis, Hello Dolly!, Rocky Horror Show, The Producers, The Sound of Music & My Fair Lady to name a few. You’ll hear those much-loved tunes as well. CURTAINS! has already been seen at Sydney’s Eternity Theatre, Glen St Theatre, Bondi Cabaret Festival & Q Theatre Penrith in 2019/ 2020. A second show, Cruising With The Grandparents Club written by Richard Tulloch with music by John Field is touring QLD, NSW, Tasmania & Victoria in 2025. Meredith played Grandma Addams in The Addams Family directed by Jerry Zacks at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre. She was nominated for Helpmann & Green Room Awards for her role Hold Me-Touch Me in Mel Brooks’ The Producers directed by Susan Stroman (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane) and was nominated for a Glugs Award playing Sylvia St Croix in Ruthless, Sydney. In recent years she was in Opera Australia’s productions of My Fair Lady & The Sound Of Music, playing housekeeper Frau Schmidt for 6 weeks in Sydney. Other highlights include the first Aust/NZ tour of Les Miserables, Love Never Dies, Hello Dolly! national tour starring Jill Perryman, Chess and The Rocky Horror Show. She sings regularly with her jazz trio The Mezzanines & has performed 6 different cabaret shows at Oxford Street’s Claire’s Kitchen from 2019 to 2025. Meredith has appeared in TV shows, commercials, has hosted radio programs and she narrated audio books for Vision Australia for 10 years. JOHN MARTIN John is a concert, radio and recording artist with experience in Classical, Music Theatre, Jazz, Ragtime, Folk & Pop. He is featured on 18 commercial recordings & many in-house recordings for ABC Classic FM. John is as at home partnering singers & instrumentalists as he is in singing and playing the patter songs of Noel Coward. He has enjoyed extensive performing partnerships with clarinetist Deborah de Graaff, cellist Susan Blake, flautists Jane Rutter and Christine Draeger, tenor Andrew Goodwin, baritone Jose Carbo, bass Teddy Tahu Rhodes, sopranos Amelia Farrugia and Julie Lea Goodwin, and such music theatre stars as Amanda Muggleton, Meredith O’Reilly and Peter Cousens. A career highlight was Australian/ NZ tours with British star Miriam Margolyes. The third of these “The Importance of Being Miriam” is available as an ABC Classics DVD.
