Anatreptix are a Melbourne based band who play Rebetika, music of the Greek underground, spanning compositions from the 30s through to the late 50s.

Known as the Greek blues, Rebetika is a type of urban folk music dealing with themes around poverty, drug use, grief, love and disenfranchisement.
