The Melbourne Jazz Dance Association, organisers of the annual Melbourne Lindy Exchange, invite you to a special once-off March Lindy eXperience.  
  
On Sunday 15th March, join us for an evening of live music with the Georgia Brooks Swingtet and great dances with friends.  
  
The Georgia Brooks Swingtet are a Naarm/Melbourne-based swing band whose focus is swingin' jazz music from the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Formed in 2015, the Georgia Brooks Swingtet are led by singer and longtime swing dancer Georgia Brooks, whose 20+ year obsession with swing dance gives her a special ear for what works on the social dance floor. Georgia will be joined by dancer favourite Kym Dillon (ABC's The Piano) as well as swing dancer and rhythm-man Sean Loughran on drums, Robbie Finch on bass and original GBS member Ben Calderazzo on guitar.  
  
Between band sets, keep the swingouts coming with DJ Tyler. Since learning to dance, Tyler has always been interested in the connection between dance and music, driving him to learn many swing era dances and to try and find the soul of the music that makes it happen. His passion for vintage tunes and original recordings have driven him to amass a collection of hot jazz right out of the 1930s/40s, with a special place in his heart for Charlie Barnet, Gene Krupa, and Jimmie Lunceford. Tyler has been DJing since as soon as people would let him near the sound system, and enjoying every moment. Expect to hear a lot of happy, swinging tunes while Tyler is on deck.
