Event Description
Wallace & Gromit – The Wrong Trousers with live Brass Band!
Spend the school holidays reliving the magic of a classic British film with live brass band accompaniment.
An exciting musical exploration awaits as Darebin City Brass Preston Band and Melbourne Recital Centre present a screening of the Academy® award-winning short film; Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers with live brass band accompaniment.
Almost three decades since the film first premiered, Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers tells the tale of eccentric inventor Wallace as he takes in a new lodger, a devious penguin. Wallace’s loyal canine companion, Gromit, is moved out of his bedroom to make way for the new guest, but Gromit soon discovers all is not as it seems when the cool-as-a-cucumber new arrival takes a keen interest in Wallace’s techno-trousers.
Perfect for every member of the family, this performance opens with a selection of thrilling brass band works before diving into the humorous world of short films.
Film rating: G. © and TM Aardman Animations Ltd 2023.
