In 2023, Producers Michael Harrison and David Ian have made an electrifying announcement that has sent ripples of excitement through the entertainment world. The supremely talented Emily Williams, was set to take on the iconic role of Rachel Marron in the internationally acclaimed sensation, 'The Bodyguard.' With an awe-inspiring blend of vocal prowess, charisma, and sheer star power, Williams was poised to captivate audiences in ways never seen before. However, her casting goes beyond the realms of mere performance, as she boldly steps into history as one of the pioneering women of Polynesian heritage to seize a leading role in a UK musical. 

  

In September 2023, Emily was proudly announced as the Global Ambassador for "Women of Colour Australia," a role and organization that hold a special place in her heart.

**Jason Heerah**, the rhythmic heartbeat of the Otentik Groove Band, hails from Australia and carries a profound love for music. His musical journey commenced at the age of 14 when he started playing drums in his dad’s band.

  

Following a stint in the United States, he returned to Melbourne, where he became the pulsating force behind a band, drumming and singing for about 8-10 years.

  

In 2014, Jason showcased his talent on the Australian X Factor, delivering a spirited rendition of “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. The judges lauded him as the best singer-drummer.

  

Upon his return to Mauritius, he faced the challenge of learning Creole but triumphed, releasing his inaugural album, “Nou Sime,” in 2017. The album featured collaborations with local talents like Otentik Groove and Laura Beg.

  

His track “Leve” from the album earned the prestigious title of Song of the Year in 2017 on Radio 1. Jason, growing up in a family steeped in music, takes pride in crafting a career in the musical realm.

  

His music narrates the tale of his journey from Australia back to Mauritius, where he wholeheartedly embraces his Mauritian heritage. Through his melodies, Jason aims to echo a message of unity, resonating with the people of Mauritius.
