Handgrenade Hearts

Legendary UK punkster **TV SMITH** brings his **ADVERTS** cannon to the **Barwon Club** in Geelong on **Saturday 4th April, 2026**.  A true 1977 veteran, he has been consistently at it since then, solo and with various bands having just toured the USA with The Damned.

One of UK punk’s original voices, Smith has spent decades proving that intelligence and bite are not mutually exclusive.

As frontman of The Adverts, he helped define late-70s punk with songs that were sharp, political, and stubbornly melodic. Those tracks still land hard, not because of nostalgia, but because the ideas never went soft.

His solo work strips things back further. Acoustic, direct, and unsentimental. Lyrics first, always. No filler. No theatrics. Just songs built to say something and actually mean it.

Live, Smith is exact and unsparing, the stories between songs are as pointed as the music itself. You are not there to be comforted. You are there to listen.

This run of  shows suits anyone who values substance over volume and words over noise. A proper punk songwriter in an intimate room, doing what he has always done.
