Known for his hallmark style of articulation, Scofield possesses one of the most iconic guitar sounds of all time. Cutting his teeth playing with the likes of Miles Davis, Chet Baker and Charles Mingus, Scofield shaped the sound of groove-based jazz fusion in the 90s with records ‘A Go Go’, ‘Hand Jive’ and ‘Groove Elation’. Recordings of this era feature all the angularity and interest of previous releases with a more accessible sound and infectious, playful energy.
