The Botany View Hotel, in partnership with Young Henrys Brewery, is thrilled to present Newtown Sound, a new weekly live music event showcasing the vibrant talent of Sydney's Inner West. Every Friday night will transform into a celebration of original music, offering a platform for emerging bands to connect with new audiences and build their fanbase.

Kryver

Kryver emerges as an artistic endeavour rooted in Dharawal land, driven by a relentless curiosity to explore and convey experiences through music. Drawing from a diverse array of influences, Kryver encapsulates the intricate emotions of its creator and the broad spectrum of inspirations that shape his work. Born from deep introspection and a quest for meaning in contemporary life, Kryver inhabits a realm where absolutes give way to nuanced shades of grey, navigated with each passing moment.

Len Lennox

In late 2020, frustrated with the monotonous 9-5 nature of his work in media, local Sydney producer and musician Benjamin Potter decided to send himself broke by pursuing a lifelong teenage dream of recording a fully self-produced album.

After a year of poking his way around a DAW, the result was the aggressively melancholic and heart-wrenching IKEBANA, a record personified by it’s focus on four failed relationships/love interests over the course of a few years. IKEBANA was released to local acclaim in March 2022, earning FBi Radio rotation for singles “the east and “breaking the Levy” as well as rave Triple J reviews of IKEBANA deep cut “sunday ”.
Shortly after, Ben recruited high school friend David Carrabs (Drums). Both trawled through many online band ad personals and eventually managed to convince Michael Baltins (Synths/keys) and Aidan Herbert (Bass) to come on board to work together on a forthcoming fully-collaborative Len Lennox sophomore record. 

Sunstalkersss

From the woods of Woodstock NY, the Mountains of Nepal, across the 7 seas all the way whilst Stalking the Sun. SunStalkersss is a collaboration of countries, as well as a culmination of musical tides. Based in the Inner West of Sydney we are a folk-blues, psychedelic-punk band. We are constantly freestyling our way through existential emotions, new experiences, and disruptive thoughts. Get ready for a funky fresh cruise through our memories, and aspirations with the SunStalkersss
