Oscar Peterson, the trailblazing Canadian jazz pianist and composer, left an unforgettable mark on jazz with his impressive technique and beautiful compositions. Renowned for his swinging, bluesy style, he was famously dubbed the “Maharaja of the Keyboard” by Duke Ellington. Peterson’s influence continues to resonate across generations.

  

This tribute performance celebrates his legacy, revisiting some of his most iconic compositions.

  

UK based Australian pianist Liam Butler Webb is recognised for his clarity of touch, technical precision, and strong grounding in jazz tradition. His musical journey has been marked by a commitment to exploring the nuances of the genre and paying homage to its luminaries.

  

Tonight, Butler Webb and his trio will perform a selection of works from Peterson’s finest albums such as ‘Canadiana Suite’, ‘We Get Requests’ and ‘Night Train’.
