FAQ's:
This is a fortnightly event featuring a lineup of DJs plus open slots available for novice DJs to sign up for on the day. There'll be six slots up for grabs from 7pm. Please be sure to register your interest to DJ via the DJ Registration ticket so we know to expect you!

What genres are accepted?
The venue traditionally showcases the sounds of house, funk, and techno, favouring obscure minimal, acid, and deep tech sounds for the best crowd reception. Garage, disco, tech house, and, when the room's really heated, a touch of drum 'n' bass or hard techno can also perform well. Diversifying your collection is an excellent way to raise your skills to the next level, so give something new a shot!

How can I book an open slot?
Open slots are filled out on the day, in person at the event. There will be two rounds of sign ups: the first round is from 7-8pm and the second round is 9-10pm. We recommend arriving as early as possible! Choose a slot and fill out all of the fields - if there are none available, stick around in case of an impromptu back to back or technical issues opening a last-minute slot. If you performed the previous Open Decks event, or have been professionally booked in the past year, you should refrain from signing up.

What's the equipment setup?
The equipment setup is two Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2 players, an Allen & Heath Xone:92 mixer, and two Technics SL1200 MK2 turntables for the vinyl-inclined. Please bring your own music on a Rekordbox-compatible device or on vinyl with your stylus, and wired headphones.
