The Botany View Hotel, in partnership with Young Henrys Brewery, is thrilled to present Newtown Sound, a new weekly live music event showcasing the vibrant talent of Sydney's Inner West. Every Friday night will transform into a celebration of original music, offering a platform for emerging bands to connect with new audiences and build their fanbase.

All tickets give access for the enitre night, support the artist you're coming to see by purchasing their ticket.

This week we'll be joined by 3 incredible local acts, check them out below:

Alex Fears

Alex Fears is a non-binary musician from Sydney, who makes music about their life, like the time they were attacked in a seven eleven by three raccoons disguised as an employee. Their music blends elements of punk/indie/folk with influences that include The B52s, Greenday, dead Kennedy’s.

Bad Witch

Emerging from the NSW Central Coast, Bad Witch is a five-piece sonic force that explores romantic and cinematic themes infused with spicy sexual tension, resentment, hope, and despair.

Good Hounds

Born out of a love of catchy indie rock numbers from the 2000’s and beyond, Good Hounds are capturing their own unique style of bittersweet pop with folk sensibilities.

Starting as a solo project from singer songwriter Lachie Campbell, needing an outlet for his burgeoning songwriting talent, found a musical match in steadfast Stone’s obsessed Eli Gallagher (drums). More recently they’ve joined up with Joe Summers (bass) and have since been trying to craft honest songs that explore introspection, nostalgia and coming of age, with a sound that harks back to bands such as Crowded House, The Shins, and Big Thief.
