From a small backyard shack in southeast Portland, Martin recorded his new album _Thank God We Left The Garden_ through two cheap microphones, often holding his breath to wait for the sound of a passing truck. Released on Portland’s beloved **Fluff and Gravy Records**, _Thank God We Left The Garden_ is Martin’s **fourth full-length album****,** following the success of 2017’s _One Go Around_, which _No Depression_ hailed as _“the poetry of America.”_ Recorded live and alone, the new album is an ode to imperfection — to what happens when you stop chasing perfection and start paying attention.
