Rod Coote

Rod Coote is an Australian singer-songwriter who shares warm modern indie folk songs, blendin a warm atmospheric bed of acoustic instrumentation with heartfelt storytelling that naturally continues to connect with the hearts & minds across the globe.

Based in Melbourne, Rod experienced a tranquil youth growing up in the Australian countryside surrounded by nature nestled in his NSW hometown of Manilla. His early years were spent busking live in Byron Bay, Tamworth, Melbourne, Newcastle before going on to play live shows in major cities.

His sophomore EP ‘Where Rivers Meet The Sea' was inspired by his sea change experience moving from the Australian countryside to coastline. This EP met a warm embrace in Australia receiving radio airplay on Triple J & gaining support overseas from music communities AlexRainbird, 7 Layers, Mahogany, Indie Folk Central & APEIRON.

2024 will see Rod releasing a new EP accompanied by his own headline shows in Australia & Europe.
