Caleb Paine Trio

The Caleb Paine Trio presents a night of swinging standards and originals, featuring brand new arrangements from the pen of their leader. This trio brings an energy and verve to the music, playing a range of up-tempo classics through to ruminative original ballads, all focussed through the unique
musical voice of the arranger.

Caleb has previously led the trio at the Hot August Jazz Festival in his native Tasmania, and is the co-leader of the Southbank Jazz Orchestra. Caleb has performed or recorded with Matthew Jodrell, Jordan Murray, Gianni Marinucci, Toshi Clinch, Pat Telfer’s Improvisation Orchestra, Matthew Ives’ Big Band, as well as a number of other ensembles in Victoria and Tasmania, and has been commissioned as an arranger by the Melbourne Recital Centre.
