Keaper are over the moon to be inviting you to their first headline show of 2023! Deep in the writing phase of their debut album, the band are emerging this June to give you a sneak peek at what they’ve been working on. Come along for a great night of dreamy tunes and enchanting visuals - you may just catch a sprinkling of new, unfinished tracks ?? Keaper can’t wait to share the stage with high-octane rock’n’roll five-piece Creature Fear & spacey shoegaze band Kite Vendor.

??

Kite Vendor is an alternative/dreampop 4-piece from Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, inspired by atmospheric guitar artists DIIV, The Cure, Beach Fossils & Slowdive. Conceived as a lockdown bedroom project by vocalist/guitarist Kyle, and only recently forming as a full band, Kite Vendor serves as a coping mechanism for adolescent aimlessness, drowning out the confusion with lush, intermingling guitars and ornate rhythm.

??

Second up is Creature Fear. What do you get when you take five ambitious and manic musicians from far-flung suburbs and country towns and lock them in an inner-city Melbourne rehearsal room? You get Creature Fear– a compelling mix of 60’s garage rock and modern atmospherics rolled into a full-bore, shoes-off sound that can still whisper sweet nothings in your ear.

??

Lastly, Keaper will be taking the stage for their first headliner of the year. Hailing from the suburbs of Melbourne, Keaper is a ‘dreamo’ audiovisual project borne from the shared artistic dreams of vocalist/guitarist Ameya and bassist Julia during their university days. With the addition of classmates Austin and Sam, Keaper’s distinct sound and live performance has since come to life with layers of fuzzy hooks and articulate, driving percussion. Drawing inspiration from artists like DIIV, The Smashing Pumpkins, The 1975 and The Sundays, the band’s songs are recognisable by their pensive lyrics, melodic instrumentation and the introspective atmosphere they create.

??

Keaper & friends would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation on which this event will take place. We pay our respects to the Elders of the community, their ancestors and descendants. Sovereignty was never ceded.
