With 8 ARIA awards under his belt, Tawadros seems to excel at finding new sounds and musical territory with each release. For his 21st album, Tawadros teams up on the Oud (and cello) with two of his former collaborators; Australia’s leading jazz piano player Matt McMahon and percussion wizard James Tawadros. Rounding off the quartet is the amazingly sensitive improviser, Gary Daley on Accordion. Featuring soulful, reflective and meditative pieces, to more upbeat and joyful compositions, this is an album full of wonderful musical surprises and emotion.
