The Backyarders

After several years toiling away behind the garden hedge, The Backyarders have birthed their first full length album and are set to launch it at one of their favourite Adelaide venues, The Wheatsheaf.
The musical equivalent of a sausage on bread at your local hardware store, The Backyarders are the epitome of Australian Backyard culture. Delivering a high-energy performance laced with accordion, violin and gang vocals; contemporary folk, punk and rock meet whisky-soaked shanties in an explosive blend of comedic and musical influences.
Supporting on the night will be good friends Sad Sad Tim - a refreshingly fun Adelaide musical group bringing to life the surprisingly jubilant music of the eponymous singer-songwriter.
As Aussie as Vegemite, be prepared for chooks, fairy bread, hills hoists, very specific directions to Glenelg, and a bloody good time!
