Sandi Thom - Blackbutt

?????? ?????????????? ?????????????? ?????????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???? ?????????? ???????? ???? ??????????????????!

It’s been 16 years since her first single “I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker” shot to no.1 in 7 different countries and since then Thom has continued to make albums that are eclectic, different and timeless. What you probably don’t know about ?????????? ???????? is that she’s something of a trailblazer.

In a world where our every moment is recorded live on social media, we often forget where it all began. Well, in actual fact, ?????????? ???????? was one of the first recording artists to ever stream a concert live from her London home ad back in 2005 she made history doing just that. ?????????? ???????? is the original internet star.

The subsequent rise to fame was a whirlwind for ?????????? and after 2 albums she decided to part company with her major record label to reclaim her creative power. Despite being independent again, she continued to break boundaries being one of the only indie record labels to secure a worldwide distribution deal with Universal Records with zero sales history.

In 2016 ?????????? ????????  stepped away from her career to focus her energy on voluntary work.
Having spent a significant time in the Middle East doing self-funded humanitarian work rescuing and rehoming hundreds of street dogs ?????????? was off the radar for several years.
However, in 2024 ?????????? ???????? is officially back and better than ever.

“I’ve grown so much in the past 4 years that I’ve been off the road” ???????? says, “My experiences have really shaped me and been an amazing inspiration for my latest songs”.

With other 70million Spotify Streams the Scottish singer’s popularity continues to grow organically.
“I’m always so humbled at how my songs just seem to continue to connect with people” she days.

One song in particular “November Rain” taken from Thom’s album of acoustic classic rock covers just hit 13million streams on YouTube. Her newest single Revolution Anthem promises to follow in a similar fashion.

“I’ve always seen myself as something of a rebel with a cause” Thom says, and most certainly this next body of work reflects that perfectly.

Revolution Anthem pulls references from the French revolution, the Russia/Ukraine conflict, and even Brexit, name dropping world leaders such as Donald Trump and blatantly calling out former leaders such as Liz Truss. The anthemic stripped back folk rock song is something you can imagine being sun in stadiums for years to come with lyrics such as “It’s time for a change, raise your voice to the air, time for a change Revolution is here”
