Event Description
The Addictions** are a five-man Melbourne/Naarm-based band whose sound dances over the line between funk, blues and soul. Inspired by the 80s funk and disco grooves of Prince and Stevie Wonder, the band incorporates modern influences like Anderson .Paak and John Mayer to create a sound that highlights the perfect culmination of the band’s strengths and tastes.
This night will feature primarily originals from their albums ‘Establishing Shot’ and ‘Systematic’, as well as a number of unreleased tracks getting ready for debut on the next project!
Supporting The Addictions first features Mae Mobly, a 6-piece jazz/hip hop band originally conceived as a theatre production, followed by Naarm-based, 7-piece neo-soul collective Soulutations.
