Cats And The Canary

Cats and the Canary is Australia's first and only Greek swing band.

The band pays a unique tribute to some of Greece's most prolific composers, blending the melodies of Theodorakis, Tsitsanis, Chiotis, Hadjidakis, and occasionally the odd tsifteteli or traditional smyrniotiko with swing, jazz, and even Latin sounds.

With their distinctive musical style and infectious energy, Cats and the Canary has garnered widespread acclaim from both audiences and local media. They have performed at numerous festivals, including the Brunswick Music Festival and Antipodes Festival, as well as sold-out shows in Melbourne and Sydney.

They return to The Workers Club after two years, ready to make everyone dance.

Opening the night will be the explosive Heirs of Apollo, a group that blends traditional Greek tunes with rock to create a one-of-a-kind sound.
