Now that Beyonce has got everyone talking about genre-blending with Country, you can check out Sydney’s very own Cowboy Simple who have been exploring the intersections of country, funk, disco and soul for a while now. 

Cowboy Simple bring their sensational live show to Lazybones for the very first time for a special Mothers Day show on Sunday May 12.

Playing tracks from the likes of Glen Campbell, Billy Preston, Steve Miller, Little Feat, The Band and Dolly Parton alongside their originals, be sure to pack your Mama in your saddlebag and bring her on down, she’ll appreciate you for it!

Cowboy Simple’s disco-soul interpretation of Wichita Lineman and country soul ballad Rollin’ On have been showing up on all the right playlists and getting international remix love from the Uber-trendy Flying Mojito Brothers.

With guest vocalist soul sister Wild Country Juanita Tippins, Professor Grove alumni Roland Kapferer on vocals and Josh Beagley on guitar, legendary piano man Peter Head, bass from Mark Ramnac and sweet soul-singing drummer Dwane Lee plus a bunch of special guests, this is a night out your Mama will thank you for.
