Jay Stocker

Smooth vocals, a swinging rhythm section and brassy horns, a night of jazz & contemporary

Jay Stocker, a talented up-and-coming jazz and contemporary vocalist, is back at Lazybones this April!

With smooth, rich vocals influenced by greats including Ella Fitzgerald and Chet Baker, Jay sucks you in with her beautiful tone and raw emotions that shine through in a variety of different styles.

Jay has been a fixture across Sydney's vibrant music scene, collaborating with numerous gifted young musicians in a variety of different venues across Sydney. Recently, she completed phase 2 of the prestigious Talent Development project and performed at Ken Rosewall Arena in the highly regarded Sydney Olympic Park as a soloist. Similarly, she has performed at the renowned Qudos Bank Arena as a backing vocalist in the 2023 Schools Spectacular for an audience of over 20,000 people. She has also been seen performing around Sydney with her Big Band, β€œSydney Youth Jazz Orchestra,” as the lead vocalist and part of the trombone section. Jay was a lead character in the feature-length musical movie, β€œPlan B,” which recently premiered in Event Cinemas Hornsby and had its soundtrack released on Spotify.

Don't miss this extraordinary showcase of emerging talent, with smooth vocals, a swinging rhythm section and brassy horns bringing you a night of jazz and contemporary music.
