Simona Smirnova is a New York based composer and vocalist originally from Lithuania. She is coming to Australia and New Zealand for her 5th tour! Simona is a charming performer who plays an authentic Lithuanian folk zither, called kanklės. Simona is the only kanklės player in the United States, and she presents this unique instrument across the globe in theaters, jazz clubs, communities and festivals. Always on the road, always charming and smiling, Simona is a true artistic soul that effervescently represents diversity and passion for arts. 

A member of Grammy Recording Academy, Simona is an active member of the musicians community worldwide and has released four albums of her original music. Simona is a fixture in the New York live scene with her quartet when she’s not touring the world, including Australia, New Zealand and Europe. At Lazy Bones Simona will be performing with local Sydney jazz talents. The show will be a mixture of vocal jazz melodies and Lithuanian folk songs.
