5 Sided Cube 'Gilgamesh' Single Launch
On Friday the 5th of July, SA Music Award winners 5 SIDED CUBE will be joined by Adelaide’s most dank jazz-grooves experience, Live Slug Reaction, to delve deep into the collective unconscious and launch their latest single, Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh is the hero of the oldest written story in human history; The Epic of Gilgamesh. Found and translated from 12 fragmented clay tablets dating back to over 1000 BC, the story tells of Gilgamesh the king, half human, half god, and the tyrannical leader of Uruk, the greatest city in ancient Mesopotamia. Unrivalled and unmatched, the gods became unhappy with his ways, and so created his equal, Enkidu; half beast, half man, who roamed the forest and drank the milk of the wild cow. Enkidu faced Gilgamesh in an epic battle and showed him the error of his ways, until they would eventually unite and become brothers to rule over and protect the city together!
