DOORS 7PM // KITCHEN OPEN // SHOW STARTS 8.30PM

Naarm/Melbourne and Djillong/Geelong based artists Parsnip will be gracing the Brunswick Ballroom to celebrate the release of their sophomore album ‘Behold’, available from April 26th on Anti Fade Records and Upset The Rhythm (UK).

Drawing comparisons with Dolly Mixture and Look Blue Go Purple, Parsnip explore realms of both the outer and inner consciousness against a jangly and jolting synergy. As their first release in five years, ‘Behold’ is a testament to an enduring friendship, exhibiting a more collaborative and unified force amongst members Carolyn Hawkins (drums), Rebecca Liston (keys), Paris Rebel Richens (bass) and Stella Rennex (guitar). Since their formation in 2016, and the debut EP ‘Health’, Parsnip have long blazed their own trail, delighting crowds across Australia and elsewhere, including a successful North American tour in 2019.

Recently having the honour to support international acts Bikini Kill, Ty Segall & Freedom Band, The Chills and even renowned Australian children’s group The Wiggles, there is an exciting new era emerging as Parsnip flourish with the changing season.

The catchy first single ‘The Light’ from their new LP garnered much praise as an anti-Valentine’s Day surprise for fans. The mesmeric ‘Turn To Love’ was backed by a creative and cinematic music video, filmed, and directed by Alex McLaren.

After completing a colourful tour in Japan throughout May, Parsnip will be joined on this special occasion with friends and stellar support acts Alien Nosejob and Alex Macfarlane. Let’s warmly welcome the long-awaited new release ‘Behold’ at the Brunswick Ballroom, Friday June 7th.
