Super American Eagle
Lively in Melbourne
Event Description
Super American Eagle Upstairs @ The Tote
Melbourne power trio, Super American Eagle deliver manna for heavy rock
fans craving detours into noise, psych, pop and sludgy dank, herbal grooves.
A union delivered via chance, Brent DeBoer of The Dandy Warhol’s, Dave
Mudie from the Courtney Barnett band and Bob Harrow of Immigrant
Union, played an impromptu Immigrant Union NYC show as a three-piece.
That night the chemistry was undeniable and so Super American Eagle took
flight. Known for their individual talents, the trio take control of the
destination, reveling in the creative liberty that beats at the head of the
project. From a lightening moment of musical connection Super American
Eagle have built thrilling, fuzz-filtered songs that deliver both on stage and
record.
The bands recent debut album received PBS album of the week as well as
being spun by the Godfather of punk, Iggy Pop on his BBC radio show...Iggy
even sang along over the track. The band were also the Apple Music (rock)
feature artist.
Although the band are only really getting started, they have already shared
stages with groups such as, The Southern River Band, Grace Cummings, The
Super Jesus and The Meanies as well as appearing at Cherry Rock fest and
playing their own packed-out headline shows.
Catch them upstairs at The Tote on Feb 16th!
