Proto’s back! This time in The Toff Bandroom alongside some new found friends Reenie and Ezines. ?

Reenie is a Eora (Sydney) based DJ/Producer with an impressive resume boasting a residency at the legendary Club 77. A radio slot on FBI and a recent EP dubbed ‘Space Cadet’. She’s no stranger to the marvels of a CDJ jog well and the powers of a 12 inch record, a formidable act in the Australian dance music landscape she’s definitely one to watch!

Boorloo (Perth) based newcomers, Ezines have been carving their sound out for a while now. As a live electronic duo, expect meandering 303 and 909-esque melodies and rhythm, dreamy vocal samples and chugging bass-lines, which can be heard on their latest EP in the tracks “Shout n Shiver” and “Sweat The Message”. They draw inspiration from the likes of Daniel Avery, Andrew Weatherall, and the intersection between chuggy, indie and rave dance music. They’ve exploded onto the scene last year with a killer live set at Freedom Time and have finally made their much anticipated debut in Naarm, we couldn’t be happier to invite them and Reenie to join us for the night!
