Everyone is invited to The Whyb & Friends, a party not to be missed! A celebration of emerging musical excellence in the bottom right corner of Australia. Come along to The Gasometer to see three brilliant artists blow you away.
Headlining will be The Whyb Project, the sappy manic funk of Melbourne. Strange and awkward pleading lyrics combine with chunky guitar rhythms, strong thunderous bass, and chaotic, but beautiful drum grooves to create an emotional, but danceable and headbopable experience.
Supporting will be Mid Level Management, an indie funk trio from Melbourne and Phillip Island. They make music, then they play it. Crazy stuff really. They’ll throw in some indie funk fav covers, including some Vulfpeck, Ace of Aces, maybe even Bowie.
Also opening with an alternative rock and art pop sound mixed with a touch of dark folk, Sophia Lyn captivates audiences through alluring storytelling and a bewitching stage presence. Inspired by such artists as Tori Amos, Fiona Apple and Nick Cave, she is an eclectic up-and-coming musical experience not to be missed.
