MOODY ALICE are a Father and Daughter duo from Perth, WA. Moody Alice released their debut album, Moonlight Bay in November 2021 and are now due to release their follow-up album, Lost Chords on January 27, 2024. Lost Chords showcases the duo’s diverse range of storytelling and songwriting, with sombre tracks such as “Masquerade” and “Wrong Side of Town” contrasted by the inspirational themes of tracks like “Muse” and “Catch 22”. Lost Chords combines elements of Country, Rock and Blues to tell of personal struggles with heartbreak, addiction, anxiety and depression, somehow maintaining an earnest sense of hope throughout. Moody Alice are known for their distinctive harmonies - that kind of fusion specific only to two voices that come from the same family. Their repertoire includes songs written by both Mark and Bec; with collaborative efforts giving them a unique blend of old and new sound.

Moody Alice launches their second album LOST CHORDS in an intimate unplugged setting at the four5nine bar (Rosemount Hotel) on Saturday February 17th 2024 with support from special guests Jamie Hall, Bethany O’Brien and Fawn. Tix on sale at Oztix for $10 + bf, Doors @ 8pm.
