Sarah-jo Bramfit & Band: 'Dotted Lines' Ep Launch
_Join upcoming singer-songwriter Sarah-Jo Bramfit as she launches her debut EP ‘Dotted Lines’.
With a background in jazz (Victorian College of the Arts) and studies in acting (Actors Centre Australia) Sarah-Jo’s position as a multidisciplinary performer places her in a unique musical sphere. Inspired by artists such as Joni Mitchell and Norah Jones, Sarah-Jo’s sound isn’t tethered to a specific genre but rather hovers along the boundaries of pop music. Jazz, rock and country elements are woven through her songs that often echo the tone of old-school classics from the 70’s or earlier. Listeners of Sarah-Jo’s music will be met with her smooth-honeyed vocals, rich lyricism and interesting harmonic-landscapes. Backed by a band of some of Adelaide’s finest young musicians; David Goodwin (keys), Tom Kneebone (guitar), Tasha Stevens (bass) and Sam Millar (drums), Sarah-Jo Bramfit’s performance at the Wheaty promises to be a captivating evening for casual listeners and music-lovers alike._
Opening the show, is composer, pianist and vocalist Ciara Ferguson whose style blends a contemporary jazz sensibility with the lilting folk music of her Scottish heritage. Also joining both acts on stage is acclaimed musician, Emile Ryjoch, on saxophone.
