Wesley Anne will host the perfect musical concoction to stave off the start of Winter blues,as the legendary Charlie Marshall is joined by Murphnick Band and Meghan Maiketo mark the passage of the seasons.

Charlie Marshall has been an important part of the Melbourne music scene since the1980s.He’s been the guitar-slinging backbone for some of Melbourne’s finest bands fromt he legendary punk blues of Harem Scarem to the soulful intensity of the Body Electric. Drawing inspiration from a range of genres-soul,blues, folk, punk, indie and jazz-Charlie creates a style that is unique and authentic. His music is born from passion, instinct and the ‘yearning of the soul’ known as duende. His songs come from the heart-poetic, romantic meditations on life, love, politics, philosophy and the universe. In recent times, Charlie has been adding to an extensive back catalogue with self-produced home studio recordings while honing his solo live show. Charlie Marshall solo mixes the old and the new, taking the powerful lyrics, story telling skills and intimacy of the folk troubadour and adding a dose of electric guitar rock dynamics and the rhythmic drive of pedal controlled percussion loops.

Murphnick is the new moniker for Melbourne songwriter, Nick Murphy, who is thrilled to have just released his 3rd solo record, “Strange Ride”, thru Cheersquad Records and Tapes.Nick is formerly of The Anyones, who released two widely acclaimed records in the early 2000’s. The Anyones toured Australia and US extensively with the likes of Morrissey, The Killers, Jet, The Vines and You Am I, aswell as playing Livid, Homebake and Big Day Out festivals. Nick released two highly praised solo albums, touring the country with such local heroes as The Gin Club, Dan Kelly, Ross McLennan and Even. Murphnick will play in full band mode at this show.

In true country tradition, roaming singer-songwriter Meghan Maike has found inspiration on the road-from Montreal to Mississippi, and now Melbourne. Hermusic will soothe what whiskey won’t fix. Check out her new single, "Redbird", and stay tuned for her upcoming full-length album out later this year on Cheersquad Records & Tapes.
