This week Summer Flake, Geoffrey O'Connor + Georgia Knight are stopping by for a show to celebrate Summer Flake's new single 'Nothing Lasts Forever'!

Melbourne/Naarm three-piece Summer Flake today announces ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ - a new 5-track EP, following their 2023 Australian Music Prize-nominated album ‘One Less Thing’. Ahead of full EP release on 28th June 2024 via Rice Is Nice Records, the melancholic title track ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ is available right now, accompanied by a dreamy video by frequent collaborator, Geoffrey O’Connor. The band is celebrating the release of new single with a free gig Monday 3 June 2024 at Northcote Social Club (Melbourne) with the wonderful Geoffrey O’Connor and Georgia Knight. With humble beginnings as Steph Crase’s lofi guitar dream-pop solo recording project in 2012, Summer Flake has since flourished into a dependable indie rock mainstay releasing 4 albums and 3 EPs, arriving at today’s optimal trio format with Joel Carey (Peak Twins, Skid City) and Perry Mahoney (The Shifters, Scott & Charlene’s Wedding). Recorded to warm analogue tape by Paul Maybury (of Rocket Science), the tender new single ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ radiates with woozy echoes, glowing guitar lines and downbeat layered vocal elegance, spackling Crase’s distinctive malaise over Mahoney’s gently descending Twin Peaks-inspired bass hook. ‘Nothing Lasts Forever EP’ is available to preorder now - streaming everywhere and available in a limited cassette edition, featuring original lino cut cover art by Adelaide’s finest, Seb Calabretto.

Geoffrey O'Connor, one time frontman for euphoric guitar pop band Crayon Fields will be releasing his new solo album later this year. His 2021 duets album. For As Long As I Can Remember saw him trade verses with some of Australia's most iconic modern singers, including Jonnine (HTRK), Sarah Mary Chadwick, Laura Jean, Sui Zhen and more.

Georgia Knight is an emerging singer-songwriter hailing from Melbourne, Australia. Known for her captivating vocals and heartfelt lyrics, she weaves together elements of indie folk, pop, and soul to create a truly unique sound. Her music reflects a deep introspection and a genuine connection to her audience. Her soulful voice and poetic storytelling have garnered attention and praise from listeners and industry professionals alike.
